Hello, Mat. I guess its a Blue-and-white Flycatcher because I see them every year here in northern Japan. I looked up Zappey's and I think they are a closely related species more common in China. Thanks fo your comment.
Hi again, Mat. I often see Blue-and-white Flycatchers here in Niigata. Although they remain here for summer, the best time is April and May. I think there more more around a few years ago. I always look forward to seeing them at this time of the year.
I scrolled down and saw the beautiful capture of the Blue and White Flycatcher, and then all these stunningly beautiful shots. I love the Brown-eared Bulbul capture too. Well done, what a lovely series.

Very nice Russell, I hope I can find similar birds soon!
Great stuff, I'm jealous! That flycatcher looks like a Zappey's to me...
Beautiful series, and your header is absolutely stunning!
