Two Apostles taking a Bath

Apostlebirds

Len and Frank Mengel's property, Felton, Queensland, Australia

2015

Last year, Mick and I were invited to Len and Frank Mengel's property to look around for birds. We saw some nice ones and I scored these Apostlebirds taking a bath.

Thank you, Len and Frank.

I can't recall hearing of this species, does it have another name?

Great photos anyway.............

Like Stu I had to look this one up as I'd not heard of it.

They remind me of North American Grey Catbirds although I realise the two aren't related. Nice action shots Russell.

Did you see the other ten?

Hello Russell!:) I have never heard of the Apostlebirds before, but what pretty birds they are with lovely muted tones, and your images are fantastic. I love seeing bathing birds. Have a good week!:)

Thank you for your comments everyone. I must get more pics of these. I regret I have taken them for granted in the past.
