| Wedge-tailed Eagle and Australian Magpie I think near Goombungee, Queensland, Australia August 31, 2014 |
Well, dare I say; today is my 50th, so to celebrate here is one of my most favouritest subjects. These pics were taken on a drive with Rod Hobson back on August 31. They were taken at 7am and my iso was too low, so I messed up a little. Actually we met up with two young "wedgies", a male and his sister. This is the male. It was still a wonderful encounter.
Thank you, Rod.

Great subject, look at that tail!
Happy 50th, hope the next half century is just as good!
The Wedge-tailed is impressive. Well taken shots. Happy birthday, Russell.
They are great to watch. I see them near my place reasonably often. Last week, one was being harrassed by 2 Pied Currawongs. A little later, it was harassed by two Little Ravens. I wonder if they ever get sick of it! I hope you enjoyed your 50th.
Impressive bird and impressive shots Russell. All the best for your 50th too.
Thank you for your kind comment Stu!
Thank you for your wishes, Choy!
You're lucky to see them so often, Thanks for your wishes, Happy :)
Thank you for your comment and wishes, Phil.
Great pictures - the magpie must be crazy brave to attack a Wedge Tail!

Thanks Stewart. I think the magpie is braver than me!
