Some pictures of Double-barred Finch as seen at Abberton last year.
Cute little birds. Always a wonderful sight. Very glad to get these pics.
Thanks again to Kay and Kevin taking me to visit Bill and Eileen at Abberton.

Great looking bird, the last photo is particularly good...........
What a little beauty that is. Lovely clear pictures too Russell. Thank You for supporting our UK Buzzards - all is well(for now).Phil
They area lovely little finch, and it's especially nice to know that they are back at Abberton after the devastation there.
I just adore the finch family Russell; what delightful photos you captured here when visiting Oz. BTW, my sister-blog, http://snaphappyonline.blogspot.com.au/ is where I have the non-birding shots, and more from Carnarvon Gorge if you're looking for a breather there :)
I always love how the Australian finches always seem so beautiful and unique!
A great-looking bird. I still "need" this one..
